I haven’t had a panic attack in a couple years and don’t worry, this isn’t me having one now. This is a different experience. One that still requires some grounding.
5 things I was happy to see:
- My awesome t-shirts from Jim Morris Environmental and Wildlife T-Shirts (I got them one size too big but it’s okay because I like a big shirt and I don’t really care if it’s unflattering)
- My cat tree and cat litter and cat food all delivered to my door instead of to the mailroom
- Highlights from the UCL Semifinals matches
- An iced tea (that I forgot I grabbed from work) on the top shelf of my fridge
- Affirming that the music I heard in a show was by the same guy I thought it was by, by seeing his name in the credits
4 things that made me feel good:
- Finishing my carton of milk exactly into my cup at the correct ratio needed
- Watching a show after work and having my cats all lay with their backs to me, each of them facing a different direction
- A friend giving me a hug after I cried for awhile
- Moving all my tickets to “In Review” and unplugging from work after I left
3 songs that meant something to me and at least one other person for the same, inexplicable reason, at some point in time:
2 things I needed to hear:
- “Please, let me help you with that.”
- “You have to figure it out eventually. You can’t keep putting it off forever.”
1 thing I am doing for myself right now to not feel so bad:
- Watching some Dunkey videos I missed over the last few years
